Foil-Scrim-Kraft insulation facing is laminated layers of structure, it consists of a layer of aluminum foil, a layer of fiberglass scrim, and a layer of kraft paper. FSK facing is typically used as a vapor barrier and radiant barrier for insulation materials. The aluminum foil layer provides excellent reflective and heat-sealing properties, while the fiberglass scrim adds strength and durability. The kraft paper layer serves as a protective covering.
Foil-Scrim-Kraft insulation facing is often applied to insulation materials such as fiberglass, mineral wool, or foam board to provide protection against moisture, air infiltration, and radiant heat. It helps to improve the thermal performance of the insulation and contributes to energy efficiency in buildings. This laminated insulation facing is most commonly used to exposed surfaces of Duct wrap, HVAC Ductwork.
